In Akkrum, the Watersportvereniging AWS Eendracht manages two harbours and three quays. The Passantenhaven is located near the village on the Heechein, and the marina is located on the Meinesloot. Ships up to 10 metres can moor in the sheltered Passantenhaven, while larger ships can moor along the quays in the centre. Reservations are unfortunately not possible, but facilities such as electricity, water and showers are available.
The AWS Marina offers 31 boxes for permanent moorings and space for passers-by, depending on availability. Visitors can use a toilet block, washroom and the nearby showers, which work with coins. The marina is only a five-minute walk from the village and a half-hour boat ride from the Sneekermeer, making it an ideal base for a sailing holiday.
